Silver is the new green!

There are now 25 members of the Grow Me The Money Silver Club. Two of the most recent Participants to be promoted from our Bronze Club were Comfort Inn & Suites Blazing Stump and the Victorian Institute of Teaching, two very different businesses, with very different worksites, who both put in a lot of work and submitted exceptional Action Plans. Congratulations to you both!

The next Silver Club exclusive event is a cocktail party being held at the MCG on Friday the 6th May 2008. If you want to come along to this event you must be in the Silver Club and this is how you get in;

- Use the Workplace Assessment tools on our website to input usage and cost data from the last 24 months worth of electricity, gas and water bills for your worksite.
|
- Complete part 1 of the Waste Workplace Assessment and then complete at least one assessment using part 2 of the Waste Workplace Assessment.
|
|
(All this measuring should give you great baseline data to use in the future when you start reassessing your resource usage to report on any savings you’ve made. You don't have to cover all of the areas of your resource usage in your first Action Plan, for example, if you only want to look at your energy use and waste output just measure those two and focus on water later.)

| 2. Use The ‘Extra Tools’ On Our Website
|

- We have about 15 extra Activities in the activities section of our website; they are all there to help you discover areas in your business where you may be wasting resources. We hope that as you become more aware of these areas, you will be able to come up with Actions specific to your worksite that will reduce that wastage.

|
|
- As you come up with Actions that will reduce the resource usage of your business, add them to our Action Plan template. You’ll find this in the list of Activities in the ‘Activities Centre’ in your MyHQ. It is contained within a spreadsheet that also has many example activities to help you if you get stuck.

- Once you’ve got about 8 Actions in your plan, including at least 3 that can be measured using our Workplace Assessments, email it to the Grow Me The Money Helpdesk. As soon as it’s approved, you’re in the Silver Club and are recognised as taking action to reduce your business's resource usage.
