Life Cycle Analysis - Grow Me The Money

GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Life-Cycle Analysis (LCA)
Also called life-cycle assessment or thinking, LCA seeks to understand the total quantities of resources that go into products from the production of their inputs to the waste they produce when disposed of. Life cycle studies aim to increase the efficiency of products by designing them with their full life cycle impacts in mind. A quantification of the level of energy and raw materials used as well as the solid, liquid and gaseous wastes produced at every stage of a product's life or process. LCA can be conducted for a whole process or for part of a process. Conducting an LCA can be complicated, therefore it is important to set boundaries for the study.
