Government Regulatory Agencies
These Government bodies are more than just environmental watch-dogs; they are also able to help your business comply with the regulations in ways that can actually help your business grow. And by becoming familiar with their processes, you may also assist them to develop the regulations in ways that help you even more.

The Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission (VCEC) is the Victorian Government's foremost body advising on business regulation reform and identifying opportunities for improving Victoria's competitive position. The VCEC website provides links to industry associations and to State and Commonwealth government regulatory agencies.

The Building Commission
The Building Commission is a statutory authority that oversees the building control system in Victoria, to ensure the safety, liveability and sustainability of the Victorian built environment. The Commission oversees building legislation, regulates building practices, advise Government, and provide services to industry and consumers.

EPA Victoria
The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is a statutory body established under an Act of the Victorian Parliament. The Act provides the legal framework by which environmental objectives, goals and regulations are established throughout the State for industry, commerce and the general public.

Essential Services Commission
The Essential Services Commission is the independent economic regulator established by the State Government of Victoria to regulate prescribed essential utility services supplied by the electricity, gas, water, ports, grain handling, rail freight industries and aspects of the insurance industry.
